Time to Go is a personal reflection on the bittersweet nature of memories and connections. The idea for the game came to me after unexpectedly stumbling upon my old home on a real estate website. That moment pulled me into a flood of memories from my years of moving frequently for work, where I struggled to hold onto relationships amidst the constant changes. This game is like a diary and a letter rolled into one—a way to share my own story while inviting players to reflect on their own lives and the people who’ve shaped them. It’s an experience that isn’t just about my memories but about the universal act of saying goodbye to places and people we once called home.

In Time to Go, players spend a day preparing to leave a place that holds special meaning. They pack belongings that carry fragments of the past and write letters to people who’ve been important during their stay. The experience culminates with a quiet moment at the bus station, where, as the bus pulls away, players watch the familiar landscape dissolve into the horizon, capturing the bittersweet feeling of leaving a piece of oneself behind.
