<AroundT>, a company I founded in 2023, consists of two main tracks. The first facet entails conceiving and fabricating an art toy named Mood Lamb, designed to playfully transform negative emotions. The second aspect centers around the release of an emotional recording and observation application titled <My Mood Planet>, inspired by Rumi's poem <The Guest House>.

Our emotional journey, particularly the exploration of 'negative emotions,' serves as the starting point for this project. While these emotions are an integral part of who we are, they are often denied or concealed, whether by personal choice or external pressures.

I strived to name and visualize these emotions, providing an opportunity for individuals to explore their diverse feelings. Through the incorporation of mood lambs, I aim to present a unique worldview that respects and supports various emotions experienced by different individuals.

In the My Mood Planet app, users are invited to share their daily emotions by choosing characters that represent different feelings. Here, users can write about their current mood, with their words appearing as bubbles that they can burst using their breath—a mindful, calming action. Each emotion character leaves its own unique mark on the virtual planet: Sadness raises the sea level, Anxiety causes the ground to tremble, Anger erupts volcanoes, Disgust brings hailstorms, Listlessness dries up the land, and Shame overgrows the forests.

Beyond simply choosing a mood, users can invite these emotion characters to their planet and engage in dialogue with them. This interaction allows for a deeper, more personal connection with the emotional avatars, making the experience feel truly immersive and reflective. It’s as if users are hosting these characters as visitors on their own little piece of the cosmos, getting to know their emotions in a safe, interactive space.

The cosmic-themed setting of My Mood Planet turns each day into a unique creation, shaping a planet based on the user’s emotional journey. The characters, like temporary guests, influence the landscape, leaving their mark before fading away. Every Sunday, the planet is reset, offering a fresh start—a symbolic way for users to acknowledge their feelings from the past week and begin anew.
